Art in the Commons: Dakota Cassia is a multi-disciplinary contemporary art project that explores the process of community-building through the arts.

Dakota Crescent was one of Singapore's oldest public housing estates which was eventually selected for redevelopment. In 2016, the residents, many of them seniors, were relocated to Block 52 Cassia Crescent. Today, the community living in Cassia Crescent consists of familiar faces from Dakota Crescent, as well as new residents from various walks of life.

Voices from the community in Cassia Crescent and its adjacent areas will play a significant role in shaping the outcomes of this process driven project.

The multi-year arts project, presented by Singapore Art Museum in partnership with Drama Box, aims to uncover community interests and create opportunities to kindle relationships.
