Is influencer a viable career option? Can Gen Z afford the future? The. World. Is. Burning. Up! Today’s youths are navigating challenges that are unique to them. While youth can be the best of times, it can also often be the worst.
Drama Box believes the arts have unique strengths when it comes to fostering expression, connection and collaboration, and youth engagement has been an important part of our work as a socially-engaged theatre company.
This November, we are taking this engagement to the next level with Camp-O, our first camp for 14 to 20-year-olds. Over 5 days, participants get to dabble in drama, sound and movement under the guidance of acclaimed local artists, and learn how to use these elements to talk about issues that matter to their generation.
Through different creative disciplines, we aim to work with the youths to develop deeper self-understanding, socio-emotional skills, and better relate to their peers and the world we share. No prior experience of the arts is required, youths from all walks of life are welcome!
